2009 Highlights

October 14, 2009 saw over 30 individuals attend the "Demystifying the Home Valuation Process" session, where Terri-Ann Begin and Cynthia Moffatt spoke on flexing to the new realities of our market place, and defining the correct value of transferee's property. On May 7, 2009, 45 delegates participated in the "Today's Real Estate Markets: Managing Employee Expectations and Relocation Program Costs" event.  Wade Cutherbertson of TheMIGroup spoke on the Real Estate challenges facing relocating families in today's market.


2008 Highlights
December 3, 2008 was the Western Region Festive Social and Neworking Happy Hour.  The event saw 35 delegates in attendance, and helped to raise nearly $200 for the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (ARBI) - an association which offers hope to people who are affected by a severe brain injury. On September 11th, over 50 delegates came out to learn about Relocation Stress - How HR can Support Relocation. The session examined stress as it relates to relocation, and the options available to deal with this stress. From training and handbooks, to EAPs and support services, the session examined what is needed to ensure minimal stress during an employee relocation.

On June 3, 2008 over 70 delegates participated in the regional Symposium... Canada's Future Workforce: Implementing Solutions for a National Dilemma. This event was the second to be held across Canada, and featured representatives from government and business, who came together to discuss the complex challenge of talent shortages and an aging workforce. Upon completion of the series, CERC will create a White Paper, which will also be made available to CERC members. On March 13, 2008 over 60 delgates came to learn how to "Watch for the Mosquitoes"... it's the little things that make the difference.  In this interactive session, participants were 'relocated', and felt the difference it makes when the small details are addressed successfully.
