This presentation will outline the new regulatory and policy framework for the amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation (IRPR) which come into for December 1, 2015, which include implementation of a system of Administrative Monetary Penalties and varied ban periods for non-compliant employers.
Topics covered will include:
· review of the inspection framework (Dec 1, 2013), including conditions imposed on employers;
· review of the main regulatory changes for the implementation of a AMPs/varied bans (new consequences, voluntary disclosure, points assessment);
· comparison of the two systems and;
· best practices for employers.
