Major changes are underway in Canada’s Economic Immigration system that may impact your organization and its employees, including:

·         Express Entry

·         Global Skills Strategy

·         Short Term Work Permits

·         Temporary Foreign Worker Program  and the recently announced Global Talent Stream

In addition, the much anticipated US Executive Order, by President Trump, limiting travel into the US, will have serious implications for cross border mobility.

If your organization requires access to international talent, or has employees that travel between Canada and the US, you need to understand the implications these changes will have on your organization.

The Canadian Employee Relocation Council and HRMA invite you to attend an immigration symposium in as we explore the implications of these changes:

Stephen Cryne, CEO, CERC
Phil Somogyvari, Director of the Global Skills Strategy Hub, IRCC (TBC)

Sheila Snyder, Partner, PwC Law LLP
Jonathon Leebosh, Partner, EY Law LLP
Marina L. Sedai, Managing Lawyer, Guberman Garson LLP Immigration Law

Corporate Perspectives: Speakers to be confirmed

Senior officials from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada, will outline the new programs and are very interested to hear from employers about the changes being introduced.

We also have some of Canada’s leading immigration experts who will share their thoughts on how to leverage the new programs

This is a significant opportunity to add your voice to the discussion and help shape policy in this important area of immigration and labour mobility.
