The Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC) is committed to serving the needs of members. In doing so we are guided by CERC's Statement of Values. CERC is committed to protecting the privacy of members and customers. The CERC website is operated in accordance with this same set of values. All personal information collected by CERC via this website or otherwise is done so in accordance with the following privacy policy.

Protecting Your Personal Information
Certain processes available on this website are used to collect personal information such as "Become a Member," "Update your profile," "Register for Events", etc. CERC collects no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us. Any personally identifiable data about customers or website visitors is stored securely and used only for the purpose for which it is provided to us.

Payment Data Collected
All credit card information is collected and sent to our payment partner, VeriSign for use in payment approval and processing only. CERC does not retain your credit card information. Aggregate Data
CERC may share aggregate information about its members and customers – not individual data – with sponsors, potential sponsors and other parties to help them better understand CERC members and their interests.

Such aggregate information is used to give CERC demographic data about its members in order to improve the organization and the programs and services we provide.

The information you provide to CERC – such as your name, address, etc. – allows CERC to inform you about events and activities and to notify you of issues, events or special offers which may be of interest to you. By becoming a member, or by requesting information or registering for events or courses offered by CERC, you are giving CERC permission to contact you by way of the information you provide. You are also allowing CERC to publish your business contact information in the CERC Members Roster. Members may choose not to be featured in the CERC Members Roster – please use the "Update your profile" section of the CERC website (www.cerc.ca) to customize your communications preferences, or by contacting CERC Member Services by e-mail or by calling 416-593-9812 or 1-866-357-CERC (2372).

The operating system for the CERC website (www.cerc.ca) may automatically record some general information about your visit, such as:

  • The Internet domain for your Internet service provider, such as "company.com" or "service.ca" and the IP address of the computer accessing the website, such as "ppp-55"; 
  • The type of browser (such as "Netscape version x" or "Internet Explorer version x") you are using;

  • The date and time you visit our site and the web pages that you visit on our site, along with the address of the previous website you were visiting, if you linked to us from another website.

CERC uses this information for statistical analysis, to help us make our site more useful to visitors. We may disclose this information in aggregate only to third parties such as sponsors, clients or advertisers and/or use it for auditing purposes.
