Speaker:  Lynn Merrithew is a Canadian Global Relocation Professional with a background as a Life Skills and Career Transition Coach.  She willingly shares her stories of overcoming to motivate and inspire those that are facing life changes of relocation and unemployment to Re-Think, Re-Create and Re-Launch their life journey and career.



Lynn began her career as a life skills coach providing employment and job finding skills to clients facing high risk unemployment opportunities during the collapse of industry sectors such as;   the Fishing industry in 1992, the fluctuating Pulp and Paper industry throughout 2002 – 2007,   the oil and gas industry, 2007 - 2008 and presently in today’s tough economic downturn leaving thousands of the workforce unemployed. 


Today Lynn is a consultant in relocation providing Spousal Career Transition support, Outplacement and Acclimation services.  She thrives on the challenges and provides one on one coaching sessions, workshops, tools and resources to her clients.

Speaker:  Herman Van Reekum

Herman Van Reekum is a leading immigration professional with more than 30 years immigration experience.  Mr. Van Reekum worked as an immigration officer, supervisor and acting manager with Citizenship and Immigration Canada from 1986 to 1993.  He left government service in 1993 to form VRV Global Ltd.  VRV Global Ltd. became one of Canada’s largest firms specializing in corporate immigration services and was acquired by CIBT Visas in 2014.  Mr. Van Reekum has published several articles and frequently speaks on immigration topics to various organizations.  He served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society from 2012 - 2015.  Mr. Van Reekum has a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Calgary.
