Canada's Immigration Express Entry System

CERC recently participated in a roundtable meeting with senior officials from Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada, to discuss proposed changes to Canada’s Express Entry System.

Although CERC is overall supportive of the underlying principles of the system, we have voiced concerns about the program’s administration, including the need for bridge work permits; eliminating LMIA requirements, relaxing age restrictions and posting of positions for senior executives and skilled workers; allocating more points for employed applicants, and expedited processing stream to PR for international students studying full time in Canada.
