Purchase this webinar if you need to prepare for the new regime of fines and suspensions of non-compliant employers of Temporary Foreign Workers? Make sure you are aware of the Administrative Monetary Penalties.
The next - and possibly most consequential - step in the government's efforts to tighten Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker regime is coming into force in a few weeks' time. Starting December 1, employers will face the possibility of significant Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPs) and lengthier suspensions from the temporary foreign worker program for failing to meet obligations relating to the TFW program. New Administrative Monetary Penalties can reach up to $1 million and include lifetime employer bans from accessing the TFW program as a result of failing to meet the ongoing obligations employers face in relation to hiring TFWs, both LMIA-based and LMIA-exempt.
This webinar features speakers Jonathan Leebosh and Batia Stein of Egan Business Immigration Lawyers. They provide insight into this new era of immigration enforcement. In this session, we will cover ongoing employer legal obligations, new government inspection efforts, review how the administrative penalty regime will be implemented, and provide tools that can help you to manage these new and challenging risks.
